WANDERLUSTING: TRAVEL IS KNOWLEDGE
If there was a motto to live by, it would be this, well said St Augustine...
i think associating knowledge to not only books but also experience and travel is something worth investing into. Thanks to the internet information about the world abroad is at our feeble fingertips, but the thing is i dont only want to memorize the five different burrows of New York, i want to see and experience it myself and take my own mental images, so that i can replace the different photos that other people have taken to which i have memorized. I am quite fortunate to have parents who invest a lot of effort and money into instilling the love of travel into me, though i have only been to most of South East Asia and the West coast of North America, i can already feel the travel bug coming on with an active list building inside my head full of different places to see.
On a side note, every time i'm asked ''if you could have any super power what would it be?'' My answer (which i think is the most clever) was to be one of those Jumpers, from the movie JUMPER? You know the guy who can ''jump'' from place to place, to and from any corner in the world. One day hes complaining about the flat surf in Long Beach, CA and so he decides to ''jump to Hawaii'', Now that would be an ultimate dream, to think of a location and then just teleport yourself, If only we weren't bounded by our feeble human legs and inability to fly...
